In June of 2002, the L.A. Winds took their second international tour. The group traveled to the United Kingdom for seven days and performed five concerts at four venues.
Band member Greg Dahl made this promotional poster.

The first two performances were in London at the RAF Museum in the Battle of Britain Hall, with the band seated amongst vintage WWII planes.

While in London, some of the band members were able to take a tour of the Boosey & Hawkes factory where they assemble, finish, and test all of their brass instruments.
The third performance was in Birmingham in Adrian Boult Hall, on the campus of the UCE Birmingham Conservatoire. The Winds performed with the Warwick Orchestral Winds, a local concert band that has since become a great friend of the L.A. Winds. Their founder Colin Touchin was later invited to conduct the Winds in 2004 at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago.
The fourth performance took place in Sheffield in the concert hall at Tapton School, a school for children aged 12 to 18. This concert was in conjunction with the school's brass band, the Tapton Youth Brass Band, conducted by Pat Phillips. She has achieved very impressive results with this group! The featured soloist for the show was Thomas Osborne, a former member of the band and then-first-year student at a local Music Conservancy.

The final concert was in Preston at St. Michael’s Church of England, hosted by the Lancashire Symphonic Winds. The Lancashire Symphonic Winds are a group made up of professional musicians from England’s Northwest, and specializing mainly in contemporary repertoire.
A final group shot in Edinburgh, just prior to departing for home.
