The L.A. Winds are actively involved in a number of community events.
Each year, the L.A. Winds host a high school band festival on the campus of Pierce College. This festival provides local high school bands with an opportunity to perform and to be critiqued by a panel of judges. Following the high schools’ performances, the L.A. Winds perform for the students.
The L.A. Winds have also performed in support of the Los Angeles Sight Center, the Pacific Lodge Boys’ Home, and the Sisters of St. Louis at St. Mel Catholic Church.
