The La Winds was invites to perform at the 49th annual conference of the California Band Directors Association, held in Fresno, California.
The band traveled to Fresno on Friday February 17th and had a bandbanquet at one of the famous Basque restaurants in Fresno. Later thatevening, we attended performances by the Wind Ensemble of CaliforniaState University, Long Beach and the Boston Brass.
Our performance on Saturday morning featured soloists Larry Zalkind,principal trombone, Utah Symphony and LA based studio and recordingartist, Gary Herbig, a member of the LA Winds.

After our performance, we were able to visit the exhibits, instrument manufacturers and music publishers.
